New Patients
Your First Visit
At the first visit to the orthodontist, diagnostic records are made to determine the best course of treatment for your orthodontic consultation.
Complete diagnostic records can include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, a digital scan to create a 3D study models of the teeth, photos of the patient’s face and teeth, and X-rays.
This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
After the doctor has evaluated your records, we discuss your treatment with you in detail, including the length of treatment and cost for your particular case.
At the end of this consultation, if you are ready to proceed with orthodontic treatment, we often have time reserved for you to begin your smile journey that same day.
Regular Appointments
The appointment when you receive your appliances (braces, Invisalign, expanders, etc.) is typically one hour to 90 minuets. You’ll then see us at regular intervals 8-12 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes. Our regular office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:15 AM to 5 PM.
Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 8-12 weeks in advance.
Paying for Services
Every patient’s orthodontic needs are different. Therefore, we will determine your fee according to the scope and duration of treatment. We will provide you with a suitable and convenient payment schedule.
We accept payments using Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Debit for your initial payment or for payment in full.
We offer a monthly payment plan to our patients and families. As a courtesy, we do not charge interest or financing charges. If choosing the monthly payment option, we will set up recurring payments through your banking/financial institution. Your payment schedule will be coordinated through your treatment coordinator and a financial contract will be reviewed with you at the beginning of treatment.
If you have extended medical coverage for orthodontic treatment, please inform us, as we can assist in the administration of these claims. In most cases we can receive reimbursements directly from your insurance company for the portion of benefits covered by your plan.
