Ages 13 - 18
Phase 2 orthodontic treatment begins once most or all of your teen’s permanent teeth have come in. It can be recommended for teens who completed Phase 1 treatment, as well as those who did not have early orthodontic care.
During Phase 1, your orthodontist monitors your child’s growth and addresses certain developing concerns. Phase 2 focuses on refining tooth alignment and bite as your teen’s smile reaches its next stage of development.
At this stage, treatment may include braces, Invisalign Teen, or other orthodontic appliances depending on your teen’s individual needs.
Your orthodontist will consider your teen’s orthodontic concerns, lifestyle, and treatment goals when recommending the right approach to help create a healthy, confident smile.
